Hyderabad’s govt school included in World’s best school awards

HYDERABAD: A government school in Hyderabad has been included in the list of the best schools in the world.

The World’s Best School Awards are organized by the global education organization T4 Education. These awards were launched to encourage schools around the world that are playing a significant role in education, student welfare and social development.

The World’s Best School Awards are considered one of the most prestigious global awards in education, and only selected institutions become finalists from thousands of applications from schools around the world.

This year, only 2 schools from Pakistan were shortlisted for this prestigious global award, including a private school from Punjab and a government school from Sindh.

Government Girls Lower Secondary School Tando Mir Ghulam Hussain, located in Hyderabad, Sindh, won the award for Pakistan and made it to the top 10 finalists in the world in the Community Collaboration category in the World’s Best School Awards 2026.

Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah congratulated the school administration, principal, teachers, students, parents, and the local community and said that this achievement is a source of pride not only for one school but also for the Sindh education system, government schools, and the entire Pakistan.
