Imran Khan declares sons won’t engage in political activity

Imran Khan said that my sons, Kasim and Suleman, will come to Pakistan to meet me, not take part in any political activities or protest movement.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan said that my sons, Kasim and Suleman, will come to Pakistan to meet me, not take part in any political activities or protest movement.

The former Prime Minister confirmed talking to his son Kasim and Suleman on the telephone on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters from Adiala Jail, the former PM said, “I had a one-and-a-half-hour telephone conversation with my sons. They will come to Pakistan to meet me, but they won’t take part in any political activity or movement.”

“The contact has been made after a long time. It was good to speak to them,” he added.

“My newspapers have also been restored now,” he confirmed the improvement in his condition in prison.

The former premier’s clarification came after the intense rumours in political circles and online that Khan’s sons are preparing to travel to Pakistan to lead a fresh wave of protests demanding their release. Some even termed their rumoured arrival as “the second wave of the PTI revolution.”

The move reflects the PTI leader’s calculated decision to shield his family from Pakistan’s deepening political storm. Others believe it signals a major strategic shift or perhaps a sign that Khan is preparing for a new phase of resistance from behind bars.
