Imran Khan sent on judicial remand in seven more cases

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan sent on a 14-day judicial remand in six more cases related to the protests staged on September 28, October 5 and November 24.

The anti-terrorism court (ATC) judge Amjad Ali Shah on Monday heard the case in Adiala Jail and approved the judicial remand of former prime minister in seven cases including the New Town Police Station case

Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail, was arrested by police after he was granted bail in the Toshakhana 2.0 case.

During the hearing, the prosecution requested physical remand in six other cases, however, court ordered to send Khan on judicial remand. Once the remand was approved, Imran Khan was taken into the custody of jail police.

Earlier, Khan’s cell was designated as the New Town police station. Now after being sent on judicial remand, his cell will now be part of Adiala Jail.
