RAWALPINDI: Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Ardeshir Larijani, met with Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi today.
The meeting discussed in detail bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Iran, the regional security situation, and ways to further strengthen the relations between the two countries.
The Army Chief reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in the region and said that close cooperation between Pakistan and Iran for joint efforts against terrorism is the need of the hour.
He also stressed the importance of strategic cooperation in the context of the changing geopolitical situation.
Mr. Ali Larijani appreciated Pakistan’s role in peace and security in the region and expressed Iran’s determination to further expand its relations with Pakistan.
He said that effective dialogue and strong partnership between the two countries are essential for addressing regional challenges and achieving lasting stability.
