Islamabad fully prepared as foreign delegations arrive for US-Iran talks

Iran rejects US ceasefire extension as ‘Meaningless’

ISLAMABAD: Security and administrative preparations have entered the final stage in view of the arrival of foreign delegations for the expected talks between the US and Iran in Islamabad.

A detailed review of the security plan and other arrangements was taken in a special meeting chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

During the meeting, the Interior Minister directed the relevant agencies to take all necessary measures to ensure the security and hospitality of the visiting foreign guests. Mohsin Naqvi said that holding the US-Iran talks in Islamabad after the ceasefire is an honor for Pakistan.

It was decided in the meeting that the Red Zone will be completely sealed, and only relevant personnel will be allowed to enter, while a special control room has also been established at the Interior Ministry.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Secretary Interior, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IG Islamabad Police, Commissioner Rawalpindi, DG FIA, DC Islamabad, Rangers, Federal Constabulary and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and agreed to make the security arrangements more effective.
