ISLAMABAD: A couple from Hangu were killed for having a love marriage in the federal capital, here on Wednesday.
As per the details, the incident took place in the village of Pind Parian, within the limits of the Tarnool police station. The victims have been identified as Mardana Bibi and Shoaib.
Officials said the couple had married of their choice, which angered their families. They had secured a shelter in Islamabad, but the suspects managed to track them.
The suspects killed them with a sharp weapon and fled from the spot. The bodies have been shifted to the hospital for a post-mortem.
Meanwhile, SSP Operations Arsalan Shah says that the accused will be arrested soon.
