Islamabad weather forecast over the weekend: Cloudy weather expected in the city

ISLAMABAD: Cloudy weather is expected in Islamabad and surrounding with chances of rain-windstorm/thunderstorm during the evening/night.
On Saturday, the weather will remain partly cloudy with chances of rain-windstorm/thunderstorms likely in the city and surrounding during the morning.

Synoptic Situation

A shallow westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of the country and is likely to persist in the upper parts during the next 24 hours.

Friday

Cloudy weather with rain-windstorms/thunderstorms is expected at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Punjab. Gusty winds/windstorm is expected in south Punjab and upper Sindh during the evening/night.

Saturday

Mainly dry weather is expected over most parts of the country, while hot in central and southern parts. Rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas. Gusty winds/windstorm is expected in south Punjab during the period.

Past 24 Hour Weather

Partly cloudy/dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while hot in southern parts. Light rain/drizzle occurred at isolated places in north Balochistan.
