Karachi residents will see some respite from the intense heatwave as sea breezes will probably cause the mercury to drop starting today (Friday). Rain is also expected in some of the country’s higher regions.

Most of the country is covered by continental air, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). It is anticipated that a shallow westerly wave will arrive in Balochistan’s western regions tonight and impact the country’s top regions on Friday.

Over the next twelve hours, isolated areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and the Pothohar region are likely to have rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms.

However, gusty winds and windstorms are likely in south Punjab and upper Sindh during the evening and night.
