ISLAMABAD: Rain with gusty winds is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and some parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave prevails over the upper parts of the country.
In these weather conditions, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds at a few places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and upper Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between Tuesday and Wednesday night.
The maximum temperature in Islamabad is expected to be between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature is expected to be between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 35 and 37 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. However, northeast Punjab, North Balochistan and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received isolated rain, wind and thundershowers.

Turbat was the hottest place in Pakistan where the maximum temperature was recorded at 43 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature recorded in Sabi was 42 degrees Celsius.
