ISLAMABAD: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has issued a clarification, stating that the Rs14 per unit electricity relief announced by the Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz will not be extended to Islamabad residents.
In an official letter addressed to all relevant authorities, the IESCO CEO has stated that according to the directions of CM Punjab, the Rs 14 per unit relief is exclusively for domestic, single-phase electricity consumers in Punjab.
The letter further detailed that domestic consumers in Punjab using between 201 to 500 units of electricity will receive this relief in their September 2024 electricity bills
However, Islamabad residents will not be eligible for any such concession during the same period.
