ISLAMABAD: The notification issued on Thursday said that the winter vacation of the Supreme Court of Pakistan will commence from December 18 and continue till December 31.
As per the details, “Under Order II, Rule 5 of the Supreme Court Rules, 1980, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan has fixed Wednesday, December 18, 2024 as the date from which the winter vacation of the Court will commence,” it said.
The court will reopen on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The notification clarified that the offices of the Supreme Court will remain open during the vacations except public holidays. Important cases will be scheduled for hearing before the available benches with the approval of the committee.
Earlier today, Punjab Secretary Schools Khalid Nazir Wattoo announced that the winter vacation in schools in the province will commence from December 20, 2024. The vacations will continue till January 10, 2025.
