Winter vacation announced in Islamabad for educational institutions

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training on Friday announced winter vacation in all private educational institutions across Islamabad.

The private schools and colleges in the jurisdiction of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) will observe holidays from Decemebr 21, 2024, till January 5, 2025.

According to the notification issued by the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA), the winter break has been announced in pursuance of powers conferred under Section 5 of the ICT-Private Educational Institutions (Registration & Regulation) Act, 2013.

All private educational institutions (PEIs) will resume educational activities from January 6, 2025 (Monday), the notification read.

The notification regarding the winter holidays in public schools and colleges will be announced soon.
