AZAD JAMMU KASHMIR: Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, has officially announced that he will be attending the special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) legislative assembly.
This is a big development.
The meeting’s main agenda item is a discussion of the fallout from the Indian Supreme Court’s recent ruling regarding Indian-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The decision to call the special session and PM Kakar’s subsequent involvement were made during a high-level meeting that took place in Islamabad between the AJK counterpart, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, and the Caretaker Prime Minister.
It has been reported that the two leaders held lengthy conversations about the ramifications of the Indian Supreme Court’s decision and possible diplomatic reactions.
The two prime ministers vowed to take action to address the changing circumstances and protect the rights and interests of the local populace in the disputed area.
It is anticipated that the special session will serve as a forum for thoughtful discussion and calculated planning to handle the challenges brought on by recent legal developments.
It is expected that PM Kakar will state the government’s position on the matter and work with the assembly to create a cohesive response to the changing circumstances in IIOJK.
This diplomatic move emphasizes how crucial it is for the federal government and the AJK leadership to work together in order to protect the interests of the local populace.
The results of this special session will be closely monitored by the international community as the leaders negotiate the challenging geopolitical environment in the wake of the Indian Supreme Court’s decision.
Pakistan vehemently disagreed with the Supreme Court of India’s ruling on the status of IIOJK yesterday.
