KARACHI: The Sindh government has canceled the transfer order for Hazim Bangwar, the Assistant Commissioner of Karachi, issued last month.
A notification by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah confirmed the decision, which rescinded the transfer directing Bangwar to report to the Servies and General Administration Department.
Bangwar, who became popular for his distinctive style and commitment to public service, had attracted attention for issuing eviction notices to officials overstaying in official residences. This action followed a Sindh High Court order regarding the acquisition of the residences by new allottees.
Bangwar is also known for his career as a singer and songwriter, as well as his philanthropic work through his foundation, HBF, supporting education, environmental and animal welfare causes.
