Kissan card distribution soars farmers empowered across Punjab

MULTAN: The Punjab government’s Kissan Card initiative is making great strides in supporting farmers across the region. As of the latest update, 83,247 Kissan Cards have been distributed, with a total target of 344,391 cards set for distribution.

This impressive progress is a testament to the smooth distribution process underway through designated centers.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Punjab Chief Minister, aims to provide interest-free benefits to farmers. Secretary Agriculture Punjab Iftikhar Ali Sahu and Special Secretary Agriculture South Punjab Sarfraz Ahmad Magsi are overseeing the distribution, ensuring the process remains on track.

Notably, the program has garnered significant interest, with 687,623 applications submitted through the 8171 and Rabta App from three key divisions in South Punjab: Multan, DG Khan, and Bahawalpur.

This overwhelming response underscores the initiative’s importance and potential impact on the agricultural community.

By providing these Kissan Cards, the government is taking a crucial step toward empowering farmers and boosting agricultural growth in the region.

With the registration process already completed for over 800,000 farmers, the program is poised to make a substantial difference in the lives of those who matter most, the farmers themselves.
