PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has amended the Civil Servants Rules 1989.

According to the amendment, the son or widow of an employee martyred in the line of duty will be allowed to work in an incident of terrorism.

The appointing authority will be authorized to give government employment to the heir of the martyred employee. In the case of a minor child, the widow will be given a BPS 3 to 11 provincial or BPS 12 district post.

The minimum qualification for the prescribed post has been made mandatory for appointment. In the case of two widows of an employee martyred in the line of duty, the first widow will be given priority.
