PESHAWAR: Important news for government employees is that the Food Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has imposed a ban on new appointments and transfers.
According to a private news channel, the Food Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has imposed a ban on transfers and appointments of officers and officials in the department, taking proactive steps to deal with the wheat crisis in the province.
In this regard, an order has been issued by the Food Department, which states that the implementation of this ban will come into effect immediately and the ban on transfers and postings in the Food Department will remain in force during the wheat procurement campaign 2026.
This order was issued by the Secretary Food, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which all officers and officials of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Court are directed to perform duties on their current appointments and that the ban on transfers will continue until the wheat procurement campaign is completed.
The order states that the ban on transfers has been imposed to achieve wheat procurement targets and ensure transparency. Transfers will be possible only in exceptional administrative necessity, disciplinary action or in the public interest.
The order made prior approval of the Secretary Food mandatory for transfers in special circumstances, directed the Divisional Deputy Directors and District Food Controllers to strictly implement the orders, and warned that action would be taken under the relevant laws for violation of the orders.
