Gogi Butt declared ‘guilty’ for Ameer Balaj murder

LAHORE: A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of Lahore police has declared Khawaja Aqeel, aka Gogi Butt, as guilty in Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case.

JIT sources said that Gogi Butt was the mastermind behind the killing of Balaj and remained in close contact with the prime suspect, Teefi Butt.

Earlier, a team of the Organized Crime Unit (OCU) of Lahore Police declared Gogi Butt as innocent in the same case.

Butt was a proclaimed offender in the murder of Balaj Tipu case for the last two years.

Gogi Butt has already taken an interim bail of Gogi Butt in the aforementioned case till September 15, 2025.

Additional Sessions Judge Asad Hafeez heard the case and allowed Gogi Butt to leave as he joined the investigation due to security reasons.

The investigation officer (IO) of the case started legal proceedings to cancel the bail granted to Gogi Butt.

Gogi Butt rejected all the allegations in his statement before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
