ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication (IT&T) has issued a statement vehemently denying recent media reports suggesting its abolition, here on Monday.
As per the reports, the clarification comes in response to misinformation circulating in certain sections of the media regarding the ministry’s status amid governmental restructuring efforts.
According to the statement, the IT& T Ministry clarified, “Apropos the news item in the section of the media that is giving the impression that among others is being abolished.
It emphasized that the committee on the sizing of the federal government has solicited recommendations from ministers regarding the appropriate restructuring of attached departments, but no directives have been issued to abolish ministries.
