ISLAMABAD: The Spain visa scandal has taken a more complicated turn as new revelations have exposed the network of agents operating around the Spain Visa Center in Islamabad.
Despite growing public concern, the Spanish Embassy’s silence has raised further questions, while the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) inquiry has also reportedly concluded.
Daily Ausaf has learned that millions of rupees are reportedly being demanded from thousands of applicants in the name of consultancy, while relevant investigative agencies remain silent.
According to sources, a well-organized network of agents allegedly continues to exploit the situation. Sources confirmed the presence of consultancy offices that are reportedly demanding millions of rupees in exchange for securing appointments.
Citizens claim that appointments are being openly sold, with no action from relevant regulatory bodies. Despite numerous contacts at the embassy via phone and email, no response has been received.
Sources further revealed that the Spain visa center in Islamabad is said to be linked to the Indian company BLS. Although the company’s name has now been changed, the internal system and staff reportedly remain the same.
The visa center’s website lists the new company title as “Intiana,” but applicants say only the branding has changed, while the issues persist.
Social media platforms, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok, have witnessed a surge of self-proclaimed visa consultants, accused of robbing citizens through fake fraudulent appointment deals.
When approached for the comment, the Foreign Office described the situation as an “internal administrative matter of the embassy.”
However, with fraud on the rise, the embassy silent, and appointment availability in crisis, citizens remain deeply concerned.
