NADRA new B-form method: Here's what you need to know

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani citizen with a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) can modify the residence address in his/her identity card following a due process and paying a fee.

The applicant has to approach any office of the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) in the country for the modification, as well as bring the required documents.

The ID card is a combination of modern technology and clearly defined business rules to ensure its genuineness and validity. Any citizen of Pakistan who is 18 years and older is entitled to a CNIC.

The ID card holds date of birth, name, father’s name, address, and other information. All the information that is described on the CNIC is submitted by the citizen while applying for it.

But if the applicants wish to make the address-related modification, they can approach any of the nearby Nadra offices for alteration along with supportive documents.

The applicants who wish to alter the address on the ID card must provide the needed documents to authenticate their change of location. They must carry property documents and other documents to establish their new address

Nadra Fee for Address Change

The agency provides three types – regular, urgent, and executive – for change in national identity cards. It charges 400 in regular type, Rs1,150 for urgent and Rs 2,150 for executive type for any change, including address, on the ID card.

Nadra may reject application for modification if it is not satisfied with the information provided by the applicant.
