NADRA issues advisory on photocopies of key documents

NADRA new B-form method: Here's what you need to know

ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a public advisory urging Pakistani citizens to avoid making unnecessary photocopies of their National Identity Cards, Family Registration Certificates and other documents issued by NADRA.

According to the advisory, NADRA offices require only original documents for most transactions. Citizens can easily present their original documents or respective NADRA issued numbers.

Only in certain cases, such as documents that NADRA cannot access online, photocopies will be necessary.

NADRA has stressed that making unnecessary photocopies can pose security risks, as these copies can be misused by unauthorized persons.

The authority has also provided multiple channels for citizens to report any instances where unnecessary photocopying is requested by NADRA staff.

Complaints can be filed online at https://complaints.nadra.gov.pk or by contacting NADRA‘s Central Complaint Management System.

This advisory serves as a reminder to Pakistani citizens to be vigilant to protect their personal information and avoid unnecessary risks. By following NADRA’s guidelines, citizens can help ensure the security of their identity and prevent potential fraudulent activities.
