ISLAMABAD: The global cable consortium has announced the repair of the fiber optic cable in the sea, due to which the internet service across the country is likely to be affected for 18 hours.
According to the PTCL spokesperson, the international consortium has issued a schedule for the repair of the repeater installed in the cable. The repair work will begin at 11 am on October 14 and will continue for about 18 hours.
The PTCL spokesperson said that during the repair, users may experience a slowdown in the speed of the internet or partial interruption.
He added that the company apologizes to the users for the temporary inconvenience and all technical resources are being utilized to restore the service as soon as possible.
