NHA announces free M-Tag facility; Check details here

ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced the free M-Tag facility to citizens nationwide until August 15th. Vehicle owners can avail of free M-Tag at designated points on motorways.

In a news policy, NHA will not permit vehicles equipped with M-Tags to operate on motorways.

NHA has encouraged the public to take advantage of this opportunity and requested them to obtain their M-Tags free of charge.

In the initial phase of implementation, M-Tags will be mandatory for the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11) starting August 16, 2024. Gradually, M-Tag will be mandatory for the vehicles plying on any of the motorways.

M-Tag system was made to make toll payments faster and more efficient, helping travelers save both time and money. The highways authority highlighted that M-Tags support transparent digital transactions, ensuring that collected tolls are effectively utilized for the public’s benefit.
