Over 2000 Sikh Yatrees leave for India after celebrating Besakhi

LAHORE: Over 2000 Sikh Yatress Thursday crossed into India via Wagah Border Lahore after participating in the annual Besakhi festival.

According to a spokesman for Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), during their stay in Pakistan, the Yatrees visited Nankana Sahib, Kartarpur Corridor, Eminabad, Farooqabad and Lahore before leaving back to India.

The spokesman said the central ceremony of the Besakhi festival was held at Nankana Sahib. He said special security arrangements had been put in place for the visiting Sikh pilgrims.
