ISLAMABAD: Flight disruptions have plagued Pakistan’s airports, with over 30 flights experiencing significant delays due to heavy rain and administrative challenges.
The delays have caused considerable inconvenience to passengers, with flight schedules impacted at major airports, including Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore.
The disruptions have affected both domestic and international flights. Notably, Saudi Airlines’ flight SV-701 from Jeddah was held up for 2.5 hours, while Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights, such as PK-302 from Karachi to Lahore and PK-300 from Islamabad to Karachi, were delayed by two hours.
Moreover, Turkish Airlines’ Karachi-Istanbul flight TK-709 was also delayed by three hours, and PIA’s PK-744 from Madinah was delayed by four hours.
In addition, PIA’s domestic routes faced similar disruptions, with delays reported for flights from Islamabad to Skardu, Riyadh, Quetta, and Karachi.
The widespread delays have caused significant inconvenience to travelers, who have expressed frustration over the lack of timely communication and the impact on their travel plans. Authorities have yet to issue an official statement addressing the ongoing issues.
