PIA staf returns lost Rs5 million

SIALKOT: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) staffer on Tuesday returned a bag with Rs5 million to its rightful owner at Sialkot International Airport.

According to the details, a passenger who was traveling from Dammam to Sialkot on a Pakistan International Airlines flight accidentally left behind a bag containing a substantial cash sum of Rs5 million.

However, the cabin crew found the lost bag with money in it and promptly handed it over to the airport authorities.

The authorities then contacted the passenger and gave it to its rightful owner. The passenger thanked the authorities for returning his lost cash and appreciated the staff’s honesty.

A similar incident happened in Februray this year, when a porter returned a massive amount of foreign currency to a passenger at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport.

A passenger named Badshah Khan, who arrived Peshawar from Riyadh via Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight PK-9728, lost 16,000 riyals at the lounge.

The cash had been handed over to the actual owner by the porter and the passenger at the airport.
