DUBAI: The tri-nation T20 series between Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to take off today.
The first match of the tri-nation series will be played between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Sharjah at 7 pm local time.
The Tri-Nation Series trophy was unveiled, in which the three captains participated. Pakistan team captain Salman Ali Agha, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan, and UAE captain Mohammad Wasim had a photo shoot with the trophy.
Captain Salman Ali Agha says that the tri-series will prove to be the best opportunity for preparations for the Asia Cup.
He said that leadership is an honor as well as a great responsibility for me, and efforts will be made to maintain the good performance of the team.
The captain expressed his determination to he will take the field with full preparation in the match against Afghanistan.
Afghan captain Rashid Khan said that he has not had the opportunity to play T20 tournaments for many months, but will perform well.
In the tri-nation series, the three teams will play 2 matches each against each other, and the final of the series will be played on September 7.
