Pakistan bars travel on expired, invalid or cancelled NICOPs

ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has directed that overseas Pakistanis will no longer be allowed to travel to Pakistan on an invalid, expired or cancelled National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).

As per the immediate instructions of the government, none of the passengers will be allowed to board the flights bound for Pakistan from any other country if he/she is holding a non-valid, expired, or cancelled NICOP.

All the officials have been asked to inform the airline authorities about the new travel instructions. According to the new travel directive, the airlines will not allow passengers to board the flight if they are traveling with an expired, non-valid, or cancelled NICOP.

This decision has been implemented immediately, and overseas Pakistanis are advised to make sure that their NICOPs are valid before planning their travel to Pakistan.
