ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia to implement the “Takamol Skill Verification Program” (SVP), which will be effective in Saudi Arabia from July 1.
Skilled workers working in Saudi Arabia, including citizens of Pakistan and other Asian countries, will now have to get their skills verified through Takamol.
This skill verification is a mandatory requirement for employment in Saudi Arabia.
Candidates traveling to Saudi Arabia from Pakistan are required to pass the Takamol SVP test developed by the kingdom, which will ensure that workers meet the standards set for various professions.
The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NVTTC) is playing a key role in the implementation of this program and is supporting relevant stakeholders.
