Pakistani national anthem plays on Indian YouTube channels

Pakistani national anthem plays on Indian YouTube channels

ISLAMABAD: In a powerful digital response to the Indian government’s ban on several Pakistani YouTube channels, Pakistan’s Information Ministry has turned the tables by airing a national anthem on Indian YouTube channels through paid advertisements.

The patriotic anthem, which highlights the Pakistan Army’s resolve, professionalism and unwavering commitment to defending the nation, is being featured as a video ad on Indian viewers’ YouTube feeds. The move has surprised many and quickly become a topic of heated debate online.

The appearance of the song has sparked a wave of backlash on Indian social media, with a large number of users criticizing their own government for what they see as a failed attempt to control the digital narrative. The backlash highlights growing dissatisfaction among Indian audiences with the suppression of alternative viewpoints.

According to media analysts, this strategic use of technology has given Pakistan a significant edge in the ongoing information war between the two countries. While India has tried to restrict Pakistani content, Pakistan’s message has found a new path that is not only legal but also highly effective.

The Information Ministry spokesperson said that no matter how many obstacles are put in our way, Pakistan’s voice will continue to be heard, truth knows no borders.

This development reflects a broader trend of nations using digital platforms not only for outreach but also as tools of soft power and influence, especially in politically sensitive areas.
