PM Shehbaz forms special task force to curb violence

PM Shehbaz praises Security Forces for eliminating terrorists in Mastung

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a task force headed by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to take firm action against individuals who caused the violence during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) demonstration on November 24.

The Prime Minister reportedly presided over a high-level conference to discuss the state of law and order, which was attended by several federal ministers and Army Chief General Asim Munir.

PM Sharif emphasized throughout the meeting that those responsible for the violent events of November 24 will be subject to severe judicial repercussions.

The task team, which is headed by Interior Minister Naqvi, consists of important individuals like Azam Nazir Tarar, Ahad Cheema, and Atta Tarar as well as members from law enforcement organizations to guarantee responsibility. Its principal goal will be to locate the armed persons and record the voilent incidents occurred during protest.

The Prime Minister also declared the establishment of a Federal Anti-Riot Force, which will keep the nation peaceful and prevent future disturbances. This force will have the resources and cutting-edge technologies necessary to react to any disruptions in an efficient manner.

The establishment of a federal forensic laboratory, which would use state-of-the-art equipment for investigations and evidence collection, was also agreed at the conference. Additional measures included fortifying the Federal Prosecution Service to guarantee a more robust legal framework and providing the newest infrastructure to the Islamabad Safe City project.

The government’s dedication to reestablishing peace and upholding the rule of law in the nation is demonstrated by these actions.
