ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif left for a day-long visit to the United Arab Emirates today.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is anticipated to meet the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both sides will talk about the Pakistan-United Arab Emirates bilateral ties, with an emphasis on investment and commerce.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also likely to hold meetings with other Emirati dignitaries, businesspersons, and heads of financial institutions.

According to the Foreign Office, this would be the Prime Minister’s first visit to the UAE since his election.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising key Ministers of the cabinet including Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatimi.
Long-standing brotherly ties with a strong religious and cultural bond exist between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The Prime Minister’s visit is a significant step in strengthening Pakistan and the UAE’s bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas.
