Power theft crackdown in Lahore’s Jati Umra: Electricity cut to 95 homes

LAHORE: LESCO officials conducted a major operation against electricity thieves in Jati Umra and disconnected electricity to 95 houses.

LESCO conducted a grand operation against electricity thieves in Jati Umra area of ​​Lahore and seized illegal connections on a large scale. Axion Raiwind Ali Raza, along with a team, disconnected illegal connections of 95 houses powered by two transformers.

According to Axion Ali Raza, these houses were being supplied with electricity through direct connections, which was causing a loss of millions of rupees to LESCO every month. A case has been registered against Arif, the contractor involved in electricity theft during the operation.

LESCO officials say that a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against electricity theft and such operations will continue without discrimination in the entire region.
