BUNER: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Swat, Buner, Shangla, and Swabi along with federal ministers and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
According to the statement, the Prime Minister and Field Marshal were briefed on the ongoing rescue and relief operations in KP.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed solidarity with the victims and assured them of providing all possible assistance, saying that the federal government and the Pakistan Army would utilize all resources for the rehabilitation of the victims.
He said that illegal occupation, timber mafia, and mining activities are the cause of great loss.
Pakistan will have to become a tough state; no one will be allowed to be above the law.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir
The Field Marshal met with the forces, police, and civil administration deployed in the flood-affected areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the Field Marshal said that helping the flood victims is the top priority; no effort should be left unturned.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir first reached Swat, where they were welcomed by Federal Minister Amir Muqam.
It should be noted that more than 350 people have died so far due to the recent rains and floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, of which 228 are from Buner.
NDMA Rescue Operation in KPK
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is continuing to send relief supplies to the flood-affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the NDMA, two separate relief consignments were sent to Bajaur and Mansehra this morning, which include tents, blankets, generators, dewatering pumps, ration bags, and medicines.
According to the NDMA, the relief supplies will be handed over to the relevant district administration for distribution among the flood victims. The NDMA, in cooperation with the armed forces and welfare organizations, is sending relief supplies to KP and Gilgit-Baltistan.
