According to PTA, the state of the nation’s internet is normal overall

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) declared that it was looking into reports of internet outages in “some areas” of the nation.

The PTA said in a statement on Monday that nationwide internet access conditions were generally normal.

The announcement was made the day after numerous internet users expressed frustration over not being able to access YouTube, Facebook, and X, the former name of Twitter, causing major disruptions to social media sites practically nationwide.

Downdetector reports that on Sunday night after 7:00 p.m., the apps—particularly the online versions—went down.

The cities most impacted in the nation were Karachi, Lahore, Mir Pur Khas, and Rawalpindi.
