PTI founder writes another open letter COAS, highlights harsh treatment in custody

Imran Khan writes third letter to Army Chief Gen Asim Munir

ISLAMABAD: Founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has written a second open letter to Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, here on Saturday.

In the letter written by Imran Khan to Army Chief General Asim Munir, it is said that I have written an open letter to the Army Chief with good intentions for the betterment of the country and the nation. If public opinion is taken on the 6 points I have identified, 90 percent of the people will support them.

In the letter, Imran Khan has written that the government was formed by rigging the pre-polls and changing the election results, the 26th Constitutional Amendment was passed from the parliament to capture the judiciary, PICA was applied to silence the voices raised against oppression and oppression, political instability and the “whoever has the stick, the buffalo” mentality are the destruction of the country’s economy.

The founder of PTI wrote in the letter that the country’s largest political party is being continuously targeted, the prison administration has done every injustice to me to increase pressure on me while violating basic human rights, I have been kept in a death mill, I was kept in complete lock-up for 20 days where even sunlight did not reach, the electricity of my cell was turned off for five days and I was in complete darkness.

Imran Khan also expressed his grievance in the letter written to the Army Chief that my exercise equipment and TV were taken away, I was not even allowed to receive newspapers, even books are stopped whenever they want.

He also said that my sons have been made to talk to me only 3 times in the last 6 months, the court order on the issue of talking to my sons is not being followed, only a few people have been allowed to meet me in the last 6 months, despite the clear orders of the Islamabad High Court, my wife is not allowed to meet me, my wife is also kept in solitary confinement.

Imran Khan said that bail applications of more than 2,000 of our workers, supporters and leaders are pending in the courts, social media and the internet have also been banned through black laws like PECA, due to all this, Pakistan’s GSP Plus status is also in danger, and the foundation of political instability has been laid by insulting the public mandate.
