ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister and central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shafqat Mahmood has announced his retirement from politics, here on Sunday.
As per the details, he shared this news in a statement posted on social media platform X.
In his statement, Shafqat Mahmood wrote that after much deliberation, I have decided to retire from politics, I want to devote the rest of my life to writing and teaching.
He clarified that this decision is not the result of any pressure, nor does he intend to join any other party. He said that his separation from politics was due to the natural requirements of time and age.
The former federal minister thanked the founder of PTI for giving him the opportunity to serve and thanked PTI and the voters of his constituency for representing him twice.
