LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) and all its subordinate courts throughout Punjab will remain closed on September 6 as a public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
As per the holiday calendar released annually by the LHC, all the district and session courts and their offices will be closed on this day. The Lahore High Court Bar Association has also made announcements about the holiday among lawyers, requesting them to schedule their preparations for cases accordingly so as not to face any inconvenience.
The representatives of the bars mentioned that the reason to declare the holiday is to enable lawyers, court officials, and the general public on this sacred day.
Legal professionals clarified that the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) holiday is consistently part of the annual calendar of the judiciary to highlight the holiness of the day and to guarantee religious and national celebrations are respected in the judicial framework.
