LAHORE: Prominent religious scholar of Pakistan, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi, has passed away.
According to the details, the deceased was the head of the Darul Ifta of Minhaj-ul-Quran, a teacher of Islamic sciences and jurisprudence.
The deceased had been teaching at the College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences for 38 years. The funeral prayer of Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi will be offered after Maghrib prayers at the Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran.
The funeral prayer of the deceased will be led by the Chairman of the Supreme Council, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has expressed deep grief over the demise of the deceased. He said that the deceased was a scholar of Islamic jurisprudence and an unscrupulous and distinguished religious scholar.
