Ruling coalition to discuss strategies to thwart Imran Khan’s long march

ISLAMABAD: To obstruct the long march announced by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan against the incumbent government, the ruling coalition will meet today (Monday) to devise a comprehensive plan.

The coalition is all set to meet again today to discuss the strategies to combat Imran’s thunder that is about to hit the capital city on May 25.

As per details, the federal cabinet would also be taken into confidence over the situation.

It was reported that the discussions would also focus on the law and order situation in regards to the march.

The sources privy to the matter disclosed that most of the parties in the coalition have agreed not to permit Imran Khan for the march.

However, the final decision would be announced after consultation.

Notably, Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Imran Khan announced that they would hold a Long March on Islamabad on May 25.

He appealed to the nation and all walks of life to join the protest.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan made this announcement at a press conference after concluding a meeting of the PTI’s core committee in Peshawar on Sunday.

The PTI chairman said that he would arrive in Islamabad on May 25 and meet his workers and supporters at 3 pm at Srinagar Highway.
