Scorching heat in Europe takes over 200 lives in four days

LONDON: Various countries in Europe are currently under the influence of an intense and unusual heat wave, which has affected normal life.

The death toll due to a heat wave in Spain has exceeded 200 in 4 days, with temperatures reaching 42 degrees Celsius in many areas.

The death toll from a heat wave in France has also reached 50, where temperatures have risen above 44 degrees for the first time in 80 years. In Italy, 5 deaths have also occurred due to heat in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the red warning for severe heat for London and South East England has been extended until tomorrow.

According to the Met Office, the temperature in London is likely to remain between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius.

The pressure on hospitals has started increasing due to the heat. The Royal College of Physicians says that the heat is also damaging the machines and equipment of hospitals.
