ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee lauded the Power Division for its exceptional achievement, which included a record decrease of Rs191 billion in losses, the first in the country’s history.
During the meeting, committee members praised the Federal Minister for Energy and the division for their commendable work.
Senator Mohsin Aziz promised to award certificates of appreciation to the power division.
The committee also praised the removal of Rs780 billion in circular debt and the effective handling of sectoral concerns.
In a lighthearted gesture, Senators even offered to gift a sheep as an homage to the Power Division’s accomplishments, which included a considerable drop in power wheeling rates nationwide.
