ISLAMABAD: Member of National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat has said that alarming reports are coming out regarding Imran Khan’s health, despite this, information is not being provided which raises more questions.
In his X-statement, Sher Afzal Marwat said that Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi are not being allowed to meet their family, lawyers and political leadership for the last 105 days, difference of opinion or political opposition does not mean that basic human rights should be suspended.
He said that meeting prisoners, treatment and access to information are not a concession but a constitutional right. This practice is not only undermining the demands of justice but also weakening the public’s trust in the state system.
He said that there is a demand from the responsible institutions to immediately allow meetings and bring the facts regarding their health to the fore.
