LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President Sher Afzal Marwat has released from jail.

In a significant development, PTI Vice President Sher Afzal Marwat has been released from Kot Lakhpat Jail following court orders. He was released in the light of judicial decisions. Today, a hearing was held at the Lahore High Court regarding his arrest under Section 3 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, after which the court declared his detention null and void and issued orders for his release.

Sher Afzal Marwat, who had been under custody, walked free as the court quashed the charges against him. The three-judge bench conducted the hearing, and after careful consideration, they ruled to release him from custody, terming his detention as invalid.

Sher Afzal Marwat is a Pakistani lawyer, currently serving as a legal practitioner at the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Prior to his tenure at the Supreme Court, he served as a Civil Judge, District Judiciary, Khyber Pukhtunkhawa under Peshawar High Court (PHC). He sentenced Ahmed Bhatti to death.
