ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police has issued new instructions for bus stands and transport owners.
According to Chief Traffic Officer Humayun Hamza, if any passenger bus or van drops off any passenger on the way other than at the designated stops, legal action will be taken against it.
He said that letting strangers on the roads creates security risks, so passengers coming from different cities should be dropped off only at designated stops.
The CTO clarified that no vehicle or motorcycle will be able to ply in Islamabad without an M-tag. In addition, unregistered and unregistered motorcycles will not be allowed to ply.
Humayun Hamza warned that strict action will be taken against those who own such motorcycles.
The traffic police say that the aim of these measures is to ensure the safety of citizens and improve traffic discipline in the capital.
