ISLAMABAD: Authorities have issued a travel advisory for motorists and tourists planning to visit Babusar Top and Gatidas, citing increased safety concerns due to recent snowfall and slippery roads.
The advisory is aimed at reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring smooth traffic flow during the evening hours, as weather conditions in the region continue to deteriorate, the authorities said.
Heavy snow has accumulated at several places along Babusar Top and Gatidas recently, making the roads dangerous, especially after sunset. Motorists have been asked to drive with caution and ensure that their vehicles are in good condition before setting off.
Reckless driving and speeding are strongly discouraged, as such behaviour can prove fatal in the current road conditions.
Tourists are advised to keep abreast of the latest weather forecasts and road updates before making any travel plans. Officials stressed the importance of preparedness and urged all travelers to remain vigilant and cooperate. In case of emergency, citizens can contact Mansehra police or the district administration. Officials said that surveillance efforts are ongoing and appealed to the public to follow safety guidelines and help law enforcement during this high-risk period.
