MURREE: Chinar Chowk on Mall Road turned into a battleground as a violent clash erupted, marked by the use of sticks and widespread chaos.
The altercation began over a traffic blockage and quickly escalated, leaving numerous people injured on both sides. Eyewitnesses reported that the situation deteriorated when tourists attacked a local taxi driver, triggering a larger brawl.
Despite the violence, the Tourist Force, Civil Defence, Punjab Police, and Traffic Police were notably absent, allowing the confrontation to rage unchecked.
The lack of law enforcement enabled the conflict to persist, with shouts and clashes reverberating throughout Mall Road.
Local authorities have not yet addressed the incident or the noticeable absence of police.
