COAS Gen Asim Munir stresses readiness against conventional & hybrid threats

RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Asim Munir has said that disunity and chaos are hollowing out the country from within and paving the way for external aggression, here on Tuesday.

On the occasion of 77th Independence Day, an Independence Parade was organised at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, in which Army Chief General Asim Munir participated and was addressed as the Chief Guest.

Army Chief General Asim Munir said that the basis of our national consciousness is the ideology of Pakistan. I congratulate all the countrymen on the occasion of Independence Day.

He said that the purpose of the establishment of Pakistan was not only the acquisition of the geographical region, but our forefathers also made numerous sacrifices for the acquisition of the country.

The Army Chief said that Allah gave courage and strength to protect this region, and living in a free atmosphere is the fruit of the martyrs’ sacrifices.

He said that no difficulty weakened our determination and will; we emerged stronger after every difficulty.

The army chief said that weakening Pakistan’s forces is tantamount to weakening Pakistan; they will not let their sacrifice go in vain at any cost.

A parade is being organised on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.

Pakistan came into existence to gain prominence in the community of nations. The Army Chief said that Pakistan is wrongdoing and cannot be done away with.

In the drill parade, the cadets of the Pakistan Military Academy presented a brilliant display of their skills.

On this occasion, special tributes were paid to the martyrs of the land.
