Adnan Zafar, widely known as “Ken Doll” on social media, has shared an emotional reflection on the personal struggles and inspirations that shaped his journey to becoming one of Pakistan’s most talked-about digital personalities.
The beauty and fashion influencer spoke candidly about his childhood in a recent interview on Geo Pakistan, saying he often felt alone growing up. Dolls and stuffed toys became Adnan’s closest friends in those early years, he says, providing comfort and igniting a fascination with perfection, beauty, and appearance.

He said that his love of dolls eventually became a major inspiration for his online persona. He said he was drawn to their perfect features and began to associate that idealized image with his own expanding personal brand.
The influencer also recalled that his first social media presence had not been beauty-related. He first started a page for Dubai nightlife and party updates. But he soon realized the content was aimless and decided to pivot to self-care and skincare topics, a subject he was familiar with since childhood as his mother owned a salon.
The reaction from his followers has motivated Adnan to become more serious about content creation. He initially went by the name “Ken Doll Dubai” but later shortened it to “Ken” after partnering with Meta, which advised him to assume a more global persona.
His success was reflected in the fact that Adnan credited his mother for always believing in him. He said, “She always said I was going to be a star, and now that I see what I’ve done, I feel like a lot of her dreams came true for me.”
